Biography:

Strangers Family Band is truly a "family" in the best sense of the word. Beginning in the suburbs of south Florida of a band of close childhood friends and two brothers sharing classes in school, hanging out and getting into trouble they naturally formed a band representing their combined love of 60's psychedelia pop and rock with their own twist of Florida Latin experience and flavor. The band is made up of brothers Rick and Scott Seltzer (vocals, guitar and bass), Juan Londono (vocals and percussion) and now LA recruit John Randono (keys and sound effects).

After some years of going through different line-ups and trying to find their identity as a band in Orlando FL they took the plunge and relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 where they've since met an collaborated with like-minded musicians such as Jeff Davies (ex Brian Jonestown Massacre) and even shared the stage with the likes of 60's band Os Mutantes - a huge early influence on the developing band.

The band has now developed into a full-flared psychedelic experience echoing both popular and obscure 60's bands. Named influences has been West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band Vol. 3, The Kinks Village Green Preservation Society, The Beatles Sgt Peppers and Rolling Stones Their Satanic Majesties Request.

Unique to their sound is Juan Londono's drumming. Distinctively influenced by his Colombian background, as a student of a school before immigrating to the US that practiced marching drums frequently he brings special Latin rhythm ands flare to the drums. On the keys John Randono in turn adds his own unique twist to the sound with effects and "wall of sound" synthesizer leaving an ocean of tone for the listener and if lucky the viewer to swim through.

Even though the band has existed (although in different shapes and forms) for a couple years, Strangers Family Band has never released a proper album until now. Luckily to all of this we are now presenting an official one to enjoy. Produced by our very own Steve Kille of Dead Meadow in 2012 and mixed by longtime collaborator Dave Schiffman (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, BRMC, Tom Petty) the album is finally upon us to blow minds in the summer of 2013.
