"Something that harnesses the blood/guts of a traditional rock band
facing the monolith of technology with desire and trepidation, taking
a wary step in and plunging headlong Into a seemingly limitless black

to be the case, and it's valuable when found." - LA Weekly
"Recorded with legendary producer Alan Moulder, the album is sure to
pique the ears of many an avid alternative rock listener." - Drone

The morning after girls, originally hailing from Australia, was formed by Sacha Lucashenko and Martin B. Sleeman. In 2008 they both left their native country to relocate the group to New York City, where they completed the line-up with Alexander White, EJ Hagen and Anthony Johnson. After touring the world several times over (with bands such as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dandy Warhols, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Black Keys) and appearing at a number of international festivals, the band is now exploring and performing to the world the hypnotic and ambitious journey that is Alone. In this current world of technological distractions and depleting attention spans, Alone is a refreshing slice of pure emotion and melody.
The album is the highly anticipated follow up to the groups extremely well received first record. The majority of it being recorded in Australia inside an abandoned church, it was produced by the band themselves with producer Robbie Rowlands, mixed by Alan Moulder (Interpol, Nine Inch Nails, Ride) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Ted Jensen (Sigur Ros, Bjork, R.E.M.).
Indeed, it is easy to say that life is a constant flow of beginnings and ends, inhaling and exhaling, rising and passing but in this the morning after girls' voice remains steadier and stronger than ever, and as you join them on this journey, you will see that there is not a call, nor text, nor an email that you need to attend to. There is simply the true presentation of the bond between your heart, soul and mind. All binded by the beauty of that which can never be broken - music.
Their music has been featured in TV series like The Vampire Diaries and 90210, and in Tony Hawk Ride.
